UPS Commissioning
A UPS commissioning service can be provided for a wide range of UPS products that must be hardwired to the mains. This handover service ensures the power protection system has been configured correctly and is ready to protect your load. We double check any final connections, power up the system and hand it over to you in fully operational mode.
This service also includes a run through of the UPS operating functions. Commissioning a power protection product at point of installation can also help to ensure your extensive manufacturers' warranty remains valid. Commissioning activity on a UPS system (including batteries and auxiliary switches) includes the inspection of a UPS system's components including;
- Sub-assemblies, PCB’s, AC & DC capacitors, connections and cables.
- Making and checking connections to Mains, UPS System and Batteries.
- An APS engineer will also verify the UPS firmware and software revisions.
Electrical inspection and testing will comply with BS7671:2018 IEE wiring regulations 18th Edition including measurements (off-line & on-line). Inspection and testing of the connected DC batteries will include battery discharge testing with various further checks completed to verify the overall system status, condition and operating environment.
