Statement: Coronavirus

Due to the current situation relating to the outbreak of Covid-19 Virus, APS would like to reassure all our staff, clients and partners, that we are closely monitoring the situation and we will be taking all necessary steps to ensure that all our planned (and any emergency) customer visits proceed safely and successfully.

We are currently following all governmental health guidelines regarding the virus and we will continue to do so over the coming days, weeks and months ahead. Staff have undertaken internal training to ensure they wash hands correctly and as often as possible and follow best practice at all times for personal hygiene. Hand sanitizer has been provided in strategic locations within our head office and all engineers are being issued with alcohol hand gel. We are also respecting personal space and boundaries and offering elbow bumps and toe taps as an alternative greeting to the traditional handshake if you so wish!

On Saturday the 14th March the UK Government announced that we are moving from the Contain phase of the coronavirus action plan and into the Delay phase and full details of each stage in the government action plan can be found here;

Current Status:

We can confirm that all aspects of our UPS & Generator services are currently operating as normal and all customer site visits will continue to proceed throughout this current phase. 


The health and wellbeing of our employees are paramount and customer visits will continue as long as they are not subject to any unnecessary risks. All planned and emergency visits must also fall within the parameters of governmental travel advice at that time.

If in any extreme circumstances where site visits are not feasible, then contingency includes; remote based technical support for clients via email and telephone during working hours and 24/7/365 remote technical cover for all contract clients. ARM remote monitoring will also be operational for all ARM contract clients.

It should be noted that as an organisation we have the IT and telephone infrastructure that allows us to provide technical support without any member of staff needing to attend our head office.

We will continue to observe the current situation very closely and should UK Government advice change, or any additional precautions be advisable, we will react as rapidly as possible and ensure this is communicated to all our staff as a matter of urgency.
